The crisis continues for Dior

After years of building up a brand and a reputation, John Galliano has managed to really damage the Dior image with alleged anti-Semitic comments made while he was out in Paris. The fashion designer has managed to really damage the Dior reputation and now even celebrity friends and colleagues are starting to snub the brand. Natalie Portman, who was the face of one of the Dior perfumes, has made her feelings about the scandal very clear and on Oscars night, she decided to swap her Dior gown for a Rodarte design instead. Charlize Theron, who is another face of the Dior brand also made a statement by wearing Versace when she normally wears a Dior gown. There were some stars still willing to wear the controversial designer’s clothes and accessories. Nicole Kidman and Sharon Stone were both spotted in Dior, but neither commented on the scandal. Dior’s PR agency is already working hard to deal with this huge crisis and a statement has been released by Dior’s CEO. Galliano himself has also released an apology. But with Hollywood fashionistas already flogging their Dior items on auction sites, is this a PR crisis that Dior can recover from? Share this
