Nancy joined Potion on day one and has been dotting our I’s and crossing our T’s ever since. She has a strong technical background with 20 years’ experience as editor in the telecoms and IT industries. She is passionate about language and insists on excellent writing in all copy we produce. Nancy believes that every word a company communicates should read “quality.”
Nancy has a strong and varied background in newsletter production, technical writing, editing and news stories. After graduating in 1987 with a degree in Linguistics and modern languages she spent two years as Editor of the quarterly magazine of the Institute of Quality Assurance and of the monthly magazine of The British Quality Association. She spent several years working as an in-house technical sub-editor, technical writer and proof reader for Dataquest Europe Ltd, then part of Dun & Bradstreet, and later became Head of Publishing for EMEA for Gartner Group. Freelance work included production of a monthly in-house hard copy and electronic newsletter for Nat West’s Purchasing Department and monthly publications for RHM Group (now Premier Foods).
Since joining Potion Nancy has been in charge of our editorial function, reviewing all written work that goes out for clients, preparing case study and other written outputs and editing a number of client newsletters. She leads many of our customer testimonial programmes and has become an expert interviewer and case study producer.
As the company became more and more involved in content marketing and SEO copywriting, Nancy has applied her editorial skills in new ways, and now creates and polishes many kinds of documents for online marketing including web copy, white papers and articles destined for article marketing directories or social platforms.
