Many people have long thought that press releases would soon be outdated and overrated. Press releases used to be the old world way of sending information to the media and publishing the information was under the media’s discretion.

In the age of the internet, that has changed. Today anyone can publish whatever they want. Companies can publish their own press releases with free online sites. And that’s any company – big or small, high budget or low budget.

Don’t let company cuts torpedo your marketing and PR messages

As we speak to clients and prospects about potential PR agency projects we often hear that changes in marketing and PR management are afoot as a part of cost-cutting measures. The abolition or downsizing of company-wide marketing resources (internal and external) is often mentioned, especially with midsized companies who seem to figure, since their marketing requirement isn’t huge, that divisions and teams can largely manage their own needs from their own budgets.
